“Transform Anger Into Activism”
I can’t remember exactly when I thought of this statement, but I think it was around the time I was working in Hollywood for a community development organization.
While working for that organization I confronted racial and economic tension and anger. I thought it would be more constructive to get active (volunteer, rally, vote, etc) than to just sit around fuming about troubled circumstances.
The “transform” sticker is a collaboration between Joseph King and me for Practical—a creative vision we both worked on more intentionally a few years ago. Today Practical persists in the pages of my notebook.
I use one of these stickers as a bookmark in my notebook and I got the idea to offer them up on Facebook. If you would like one please write me with your address and I’ll send you one.
I think the message is a good one during the presidential race, the war, and the economy. Don’t just be angry. Angry people are a drag. Do something good for us all.
Act. Rise. Help. Care.
