A couple weeks ago Sissy Fish posted a list of his dream sponsors. This was intriguing to me because I don’t do anything and the thought of getting sponsored is completely absurd as my life is lived now.

But, I thought I would jot down a list of my own dream sponsors just for fun. I call them “lifestyle sponsors” because I don’t do anything that daring.

Here are the winners:

1. Apple—No contest. I have to completely agree with Sissy Fish here. Yes, I will take a new MacBook Pro every year, thank you very much. Oh, you’ll toss in a Mac display? Sounds even better! 3G iPhone? I’ll take two!

2. Subaru—I’ve owned two Subarus in my life and they’ve both been problem free for the most part. I take care of ‘em, but I’m not meticulous about it and they keep running. Having a Subaru sponsorship would give me a chance to drive one of those fancy WRXs or STIs. I loving driving Subarus. If gas wasn’t $4+ gallon I’d take more road trips in mine. Dear Subaru, I can’t wait for the diesel Outback!

3. Diesel—The best fitting jeans on the market. I’ll admit I haven’t tried on too many $100+ jeans in my lifetime, but these are worth every penny. The fit gets me every time. I haven’t been able to duplicate it with any other denim brand. I live in jeans so the fit is crucial. Side note: My friend Joe wears fancier denim like Nudie or Acne and he doesn’t wash them for months per the manufacturers instructions. I apply his logic to my Diesels too. TRY IT!

4. PCC Natural Markets—By far my favorite grocery store. It’s small, unique, and carries the best cookies money can by. Don’t believe me? Go to the store in Fremont (Seattle) and get you a Vegan Chocolate Chip cookie and find a safe place to nurse your mind after it has been blown. Case closed. Each time I walk into PCC I feel like I’ve stumbled into a secret society and not the snobby kind. The clerks are most helpful.

5. Nike—Say what you want about the brand, but Nike has been tops in my book since I got my first pair back in kindergarten. I kept asking my “girlfriend” if she liked them multiple times. Her answer was always, “Yes.” However, if Savier was still around I’d have to choose it instead.

6. Spiewak—This company makes the best urban outerwear. With roots in industrial uniforms, Spiewak branched out into a fashion line years ago. Their coats are reasonably priced and high stylish. You could be wearing simple jeans and a t-shirt, but throw on one of their jackets and your instant cool. Not that it matters.

7. Casio G-Shock Watch—I know it’s not glamorously elegant, but it’s the fastest way to look official like a Navy Seal out there. G-Shocks are designed to be indestructible. The last one I had kept going until I broke the band and never got it fixed. Now I miss it. I had it for 4 years.

8. Cafe Ladro—Seattle-based coffee outfit makes the best Americanos you ever tasted. When I go to Starbucks in a pinch the comparison is laughable. Ladro Americanos are rich, creamy, hot and steamy. I could take one of those every day for as long as I live—always straight black and no room.

9. Design Within Reach—When I get home from a long day at the office I want something comfy to sit in. To me home is a refuge and a sanctuary for tranquility.

10. Canon Digital Cameras—My first digital camera was the S110 Digital Elph and it was marvelous. Currently I have a Pentax and it doesnt compare even with its 7.1 MPs. Canon image quality is superb and while I’m out capturing images of my surroundings I need a trustee camera. Canon is it. NOTE: Canon your digital camera site could use a revamp—keep that in the budget for FY09!

This list may be expanded as my dreams continue…Feel free to leave your dream sponsor picks!
